Explanation of Our Billing Policy

Your physician has prescribed speech (voice) therapy for your problem. Our office is not associated with your referring physician, therefore in-network coverage with them, may not apply at Exceptional Voice, Inc.

Please contact your health insurance company to determine if speech therapy is a covered benefit in your health care plan and to determine what your deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses may be. It’s important that you check to see if you need a referral/authorization before scheduling your first appointment. You are responsible for inquiring about whether or not your speech therapy requires prior authorization.

We have contracts for speech-language pathology services with these insurers and will directly bill them for you:

We are happy to bill insurance companies with which we are not contracted, but we may ask that you pay for services at the time they are rendered. You are responsible for deductibles, co-payments, missed appointments, late cancellations and any balance not covered by your health care plan.

Often, health insurance companies require letters of medical necessity to approve speech therapy treatment. We ask that you contact your referring provider if this is needed.  Any other documentation required by your insurance company will be provided by us.

We accept cash, checks and credit card payments (Visa, Master Card). All credit card charges are processed via a virtual terminal.

It is our goal to provide the best possible care at the most reasonable cost. Fees are based on the quality devoted to the care of each patient.

Initial evaluation (flat fee): $260.00

Laryngeal Function Studies (flat fee): $80.00

Note: All first appointments incur both the evaluation fee and the laryngeal function studies fee. Total Fee: $340.00

Half-hour therapy session: $95.00

A $85.00 fee will be assessed if you do not cancel within 24 hours or miss your scheduled appointment.  It is our goal to provide the best possible care and to treat all those who seek our help.  Same day cancellations and missed appointments make it impossible for us to schedule someone on the waiting list.
