Feedback is an essential component of any training program, whether it’s a teacher guiding you to a correct behavior or you correcting your own mistakes.
A chromatic frequency tuner (used to tune guitars or other musical instruments) provides an effective and inexpensive way ($30 - $40) of giving you feedback about your pitch.
Our training program and the audio CDs use them.
The Seiko ST-757 chromatic tuner is my all-time favorite. It's simple to use, inexpensive and responds more accurately than other tuners I've used.
Unfortunately, this tuner is no longer manufactured, but there are some out there, some where. Try ebay.
Seiko ST-757 Chromatic Tuner
If you can't find the Seiko ST-757; the Boss TU 80 chromatic frequency tuner is the best alternative. It has a metronome and our third CD uses the metronome feature of this tuner.
